Gerry Turcotte
Dr. Gerry Turcotte has been President and Vice-Chancellor of St. Mary’s University, Calgary, for eight years. He is the author and editor of 15 books including, most recently,Big Things: Ordinary Thoughts in Extraordinary Times(Novalis), andThe History of the Novel in English since 1950: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the South Pacific(Oxford UP), with Paul Sharrad and C.A. Howells. He was awarded the Governor General’s Award for Canadian Studies in 2011 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. He is a regular columnist forThe Catholic Register.
